High Schools Allow Students to Graduate Two Years Early
The New York Times reports that under a pilot program organized by the National Center on Education and Economy, select high schools in eight states will allow 10th graders to pass a series of tests to obtain their diploma two years early and enroll in community colleges. Participating states include Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Each state is expected to select 10-20 schools to participate in the pilot program.
